Getting started

Five minutes from install to your first researched product.

1. Install and pin

  1. Add SnipeSeller to Chrome.
  2. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin SnipeSeller.
  3. Click the SnipeSeller icon to open the side panel. It stays open while you browse.
  4. Open Settings, choose your home marketplace, and set your target margin (15% by default).

If an eBay tab was already open before you installed SnipeSeller, reload it once so SnipeSeller can read it.

2. Find products that already sell

  1. Look on eBay for sellers who seem to be dropshipping: stock-style photos, lots of unrelated products, no brand.
  2. In the Snipe tab, enter their username (and keywords if you like), then press Open sold items.
  3. SnipeSeller reads the results page, groups listings of the same product, and ranks them by number of sales. Turn on Repeat sellers only to see just the products that sold at least twice.
  4. Press Scan all pages to read every page of the seller's results, not just the first 240 items. SnipeSeller loads the pages one at a time with a short pause (up to 50 pages) and updates the ranking as it goes. Press Stop at any time. eBay only shows sold items from about the last 90 days.
  5. When the scan finishes you get a seller summary: total sales, sold value, average and median price, repeat winners and their share of sales, sales per day, recent sales and a price-range breakdown. It's saved automatically in the Sellers tab so you can compare sellers later. Scanning the same seller again updates their entry.
  6. Press Competition ↗ to search for the product sorted by lowest price. Press Rescan page there to see the low, median and high prices.

You can also open any eBay search with the Sold items filter and SnipeSeller will rank it the same way.

3. Check the numbers

  1. Press Check profit on a product, or open any eBay listing. The Profit tab loads the price for you.
  2. Go to your supplier's product page, highlight the price, right-click and choose SnipeSeller: use “…” as supplier cost. You can also right-click anywhere on the page and choose capture supplier price from this page.
  3. Back in the panel, press Use on the captured price.

You'll see profit per sale, margin and ROI, and a full fee breakdown. You also get three key prices:

Find the product on Amazon

  1. Press Amazon ↗ on any product in Snipe or Sellers, or Find on amazon… in the Profit tab. SnipeSeller searches the Amazon site for your eBay marketplace (eBay UK → amazon.co.uk and so on). You can change this in Settings.
  2. Open the matching product. The SnipeSeller box shows Amazon's price and delivery estimate. Press Use as supplier.
  3. In the Profit tab, press Use. SnipeSeller fills in the supplier cost and shows how closely the two titles match.

If Amazon shows prices in a different currency from your eBay site (it depends on your delivery country), SnipeSeller warns you. Type the converted amount into Supplier cost before trusting the profit.

Remember that eBay's drop shipping policy only allows sourcing from wholesale suppliers.

From Amazon to eBay: Find on eBay

Found a product on Amazon first? Press Find on eBay in the SnipeSeller box on the Amazon product page. SnipeSeller opens the matching eBay site's sold items for that product (amazon.co.uk → ebay.co.uk), searching its brand and key title words. On the results, listings that are the same product get a green outline. The SnipeSeller box shows how many exact matches there are, how many sold, the sold price range and your estimated profit at the average price. Press Stop matching to go back to normal.

Press Collect sellers in that box to save everyone selling the product. In the Sellers tab, under Sellers by product, each product lists its sellers with how many they sold. Click a seller and the Snipe tab offers to Scan them: it opens their sold items and scans every page automatically. Collecting again on the next results page adds any new sellers.

Suppliers tab

Every product you use as a supplier is saved automatically in the Suppliers tab, whether you used “Use as supplier” on Amazon, the Use button in the panel, or the right-click price capture. Each one shows its price, delivery, rating and which of your tests use it. Capture the same product again and SnipeSeller records the new price, marking increases ▲ and drops ▼. You can search, sort, reopen a supplier in the Profit tab, or export everything to CSV.

4. Treat every listing as a test

  1. Press Save as product test in the Profit tab.
  2. List the product on eBay yourself, then press + on the test each time it sells.
  3. Mark tests as Winner or Loser. If a test has no sale after 14 days, SnipeSeller shows a checklist to go through.
  4. Change one thing at a time (price, title or main image) and log it in the test's Revision log.
  5. Use Export CSV to open everything in a spreadsheet.

Create the listing

One click: supplier → finished listing

  1. In the Tests tab, press Assign supplier on a product. Choose one of your saved suppliers, paste an Amazon product link, or press Find on Amazon. If the prices are in the same currency, the supplier's price becomes the product's supplier cost.
  2. Press Create listing ↗. The editor opens and builds the listing by itself: it reads the Amazon page, downloads the photos, turns the specifications into item specifics, and has Claude write the title, key points and description from those facts. With no API key it stops after the import.
  3. Check everything and press Send to eBay. A product that already has a listing is never overwritten automatically.

In the side panel's Listing tab, press Create listing for this product ↗ (or pick one of your saved products). The listing editor opens in its own browser tab, laid out like eBay's form, with a live preview, your profit and a “Ready to list?” checklist on the right. Everything saves automatically.

Import from Amazon

If the product's supplier is on Amazon, the editor starts with an Import from Amazon box. Choose Photos, Item specifics and/or Description and press Import. SnipeSeller reads the Amazon page and downloads the product's full-size photos, which get the same white-background treatment. It turns Amazon's brand and specification table into eBay item specifics (Brand, Colour, Material, Dimensions…) and builds a description from the feature bullets, description and specs. Run it again and it only adds photos it hasn't imported yet.

Amazon photos and text usually belong to the brand or seller. Only use them if you're allowed to: eBay can remove listings under its VeRO programme. Press “Write with AI” afterwards to reword the text in your own words.

Photos

Add or drop up to 24 photos. Each becomes a 1600×1600 JPEG on a clean white background: plain edges are trimmed, the product is centred, and you can add a corner badge such as “Free fast delivery”. The first photo is the main one; use ← → to reorder. Photos are stored in your browser, never uploaded to us. Use your own photos or images your supplier allows you to use. Pictures copied from other listings or retailers can be taken down under eBay's VeRO programme.

Supplier and AI writing

If the product's supplier is on Amazon, press Scan supplier to read its price, brand, features, specs and description. Add your Claude API key in the side panel (Settings → AI listing writer; each run costs a few cents on your Anthropic account), then press Write listing. You get an 80-character title, item specifics, key points and an HTML description in your marketplace's language, written in original words. Use the Improve buttons (Stronger title keywords, More persuasive, Shorter & punchier, Gift angle, Fix spelling & grammar) or type your own instruction. You can edit every field by hand too.

Send to eBay

  1. Press Send to eBay →. eBay's “Start your listing” page opens and SnipeSeller searches your title.
  2. Pick the best category match, or “Continue without match”.
  3. SnipeSeller ticks your condition; press “Continue to listing”.
  4. On eBay's form, press Fill from SnipeSeller in the SnipeSeller box. It fills the title, item specifics, description, price, quantity and photos, and tells you which specifics this category doesn't have.
  5. Set shipping and returns, check everything, and press “List it” yourself. SnipeSeller never publishes for you.

5. Build the habit

The Routine tab has a daily checklist (30 min monitoring, 60 min research, 60 min listing), a listing counter, and your streak. Press Start day 1 today to begin the 90-day plan. Each phase shows what to focus on, from Learn in week one to Controlled scale in days 61–90. Only tick every item on the scale-readiness checklist once it's actually true.

Fees

SnipeSeller includes fee presets for eBay US, UK, CA, AU, DE, FR, IT and ES. They're estimates for most categories without a store subscription. Your real rates depend on category, store level and seller status. In Settings → eBay fees you can change the final value fee, per-order fee, VAT on fees (business sellers in UK/EU/AU) and average buyer sales tax (in the US the final value fee is also charged on sales tax).

Stay within eBay policy

eBay allows dropshipping only when you source from a wholesale supplier. Buying from another retailer or marketplace and having it shipped directly to your buyer isn't permitted and can lead to account restrictions. Read eBay's drop shipping policy before choosing suppliers.

Backup and data

Everything is stored locally in your browser. In Settings → Your data you can export a backup, import it on another computer, or clear all data.

Troubleshooting

The panel says “Not on eBay” on an eBay page

Reload the tab. Pages opened before SnipeSeller was installed or updated can't be read until they're reloaded.

“No listings on this page”

Wait for the page to finish loading and press Rescan page. eBay sometimes changes its page layout. If results still don't appear, let us know.

“Scan all pages” stopped with a security check

eBay occasionally asks to confirm you're a person. Reload the eBay tab, complete the check, and wait a while before scanning again. Scanning many large sellers back to back is the most likely trigger.

The supplier price wasn't captured

If the SnipeSeller icon briefly shows a red !, no price was found. Highlight the price text on the page and use the “use as supplier cost” option instead.
